At Spirit Performing Arts Academy the goal is to provide superior quality training in the performing arts and to equip and propel each student to be their very best, all in an atmosphere of wholesomeness and traditional values. 

So what exactly does that mean? Well, for one, all material, whether music pieces or dramatic works, emphasize positive character and spirit-lifting values and ideas. In the area of modern dance, the choreography is “current” but never sexually suggestive or more “mature” than we, as parents, would like to see our children performing. And with regard to dress, the recitals stress modesty, elegance, and professionalism. The dance costumes are fun and colorful without being too sexy and skin-baring.

Spirit Academy is about the values that we all grew up with but seems to be so lacking in our society today: modesty, honesty, faith, teamwork and putting others before self. It is about a spirit of excellence in both execution and character. We believe every child, indeed every person, can thrive in an environment like this. In fact, we have a saying that ‘At Spirit Academy every student is a star!’

In the three years since its founding, Spirit Academy has delivered on this vision. Today, Spirit Academy boasts a state-of-the-art facility with two 900-square foot professional dance studios, two private instruction rooms, all with viewing windows and a spacious, comfortable lobby with plenty of seating. Through word-of-mouth alone, the school has grown to nearly 150 students in voice, musical instruments, theatre/drama, and dance disciplines ranging from ballet to hip hop. All instructors are highly trained in their respective fields, and selected not only for their subject matter mastery, but their ability to connect with students and pull the very best out of them.
